Ed Davey MP launched the Northampton Liberal Democrat's Manifesto Consultation for the Northampton Borough Council elections that will take place on 3 May 2007.

This consultation is now available on-line (click the link in the navigation bar on the left - its the second button down) and will be circulated to at least 50,000 homes in Northampton over the next few weeks as part of the local Lib Dem's regular Focus newsletter.

No other party has previously been willing to consult the public so comprehensively. The Liberal Democrat Group Leader on Northampton Borough Council, Cllr Tony Woods said "We believe we have some exciting proposals to greatly improve the quality of services offered by Northampton Borough Council to make the town safer, cleaner and greener and to take full advantage of the growth of the town to regenerate our town centre and other parts of the town.

"However, we do not have all of the answers. It is important for us to offer all citizens of Northampton the opportunity to contribute their ideas and suggestions."
