Andrew's campaign website - log on and get involved.
Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Northampton North, Andrew Simpson, has launched a new website ahead of tonight's campaign launch with Lib Dem Justice Spokesman, Paul Holmes, and former Deputy Met Commissioner, Brian Paddick.
The site, which went live today at www.andrew2win.org, focuses on battleground election issues and includes links to Andrew's latest literature and Twitter feed.
Commenting ahead of his campaign launch, Andrew said:
"The internet is a vital part of a modern democracy. In the information age, voters' tribal loyalties are fading fast. People are increasingly willing to switch their vote and want to know who, and what, they are voting for.
"The web is the most cost-effective and no-nonsense way for politicians to stay in touch with their potential supporters and dogged detractors.
"As a long-serving Councillor and Parliamentary Candidate, I have already had to make good use of the web via my other sites. This latest site is more campaign-focussed than either of my other sites.
"People considering voting Liberal Democrat can log on to get the latest reaction to an issue they care about or become directly involved in the campaign by donating, volunteering or putting up a poster or stakeboard.
"It's a shame that neither Mr Ellis nor Mrs Keeble have used the net to let people know what they've done on the key local issues since their reselections.
"If elected, I would be looking to make even better use of the web by updating constituents on key votes as they happen. Now more than ever, MPs have no excuse not to stay in touch with their constituents."
