Northampton will mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz at the Guildhall on Wednesday 27th January.
Lib Dem-run Northampton Borough Council has organised a short ceremony at the Holocaust Memorial Stone in the courtyard of the Guildhall.
The ceremony will take place on Holocaust Memorial Day (Wednesday 27th January) at 11am.
People from across Northampton are welcome to join councillors and civic leaders to remember those who were killed in the Second World War and since in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and the Sudan.
A special memorial event will also be held in the Guildhall's Great Hall from 18.30, featuring a number of guest speakers and performers.
The event is free to all, but please book ahead by contacting Northampton Borough Council's Community Engagement team on 01604 837 566.
An exhibition, The Hidden Jewish History and Heritage of Northampton, will also be held in the Guildhall's Court Room from Wednesday 27th to Monday 1st February. Entry is free, all are welcome.
